A family run business, built from the ground up
Like most small businesses, Los Padres Fire Protection was born out of necessity and fueled by the desire for prosperity and a better quality of life. Dominic and Tina Dean lived and worked in Los Angeles, as a graveyard shift bus driver and a daytime bank teller, respectively. After years of “big city grind”, they made the decision to pack up and move north in hopes of creating a simple but rich, small-town life for their young family. They landed in Santa Maria, CA, a sleepy outpost hidden in the Los Padres National Forest. A few months and one state fire license later, Dominic started Los Padres Fire Protection, selling and servicing extinguishers out of his fire engine red Nissan truck. The rest, as they say, is history… 37 years’ worth!
Today, Los Padres Fire Protection serves as the premiere fire safety service provider for the entire Central California Coast. The very principles that built this company are what continue to drive it forward in 2023, thanks to the unrelenting work ethic, dedication to honest service, and exceptional expertise of our owners, Dominic and Tina Dean.
